The iPF6450 is designed for the graphic arts market, with photographic, fine art and proofing applications specifically in mind.

This large format printer incorporates LUCIA EX, Canon’s innovative 12-colour pigment inkjet system with image processing technology that delivers a wide colour gamut, smooth graduations, less bronzing and highly scratch-resistant prints.

Users can rely on it for enhanced black reproduction and graduation expression in dark areas, resulting in the exceptional print quality required for photo print applications. The text and line accuracy, plus excellent colour harmony, mean that the printer is perfect for high precision proofing applications.

The iPF6450 is compatible with ICC profile-based colour-management systems and will work seamlessly with third-party RIP applications, supporting production, photography and proofing applications.
Users can fit an optional spectrophotometer to the iPF6450. This provides stable and consistent colour and is the only one with a switchable UV filter. Users get a greater choice of media with a consistent workflow. They can control an iPF6450 with spectrophotometer in one location, and Canon 12-colour large format printers elsewhere to optimise output with the Calibration Link feature, the printer also supports a wide range of media types.

A large, bright and easy to read LCD screen makes the iPF6450 easy to operate. And a range of plug-ins for Macs and PCs simplifies common tasks, such as manipulating, adjusting and proofing images, optimising their quality and adding borders. It’s easy to set up workflows that automate many of these processes.

The iPF6450 has a built-in 250GB hard disk, which enables highly efficient printing, making it easier to re-print jobs and handle large amounts of data effortlessly. Its "hot swap" 130ml and 300ml ink tanks mean that ink cartridges can be replaced without interrupting printing for maximum productivity.

It’s easy to track the cost of each job using the built-in cost management software, allowing users to calculate ROI.
